Louse Camp is a few short miles upstream on Bluff Creek from the site where the Patterson-Gimlin film was shot in 1967.

It rose to prominance in 1958 as the area where large footprints were found and mechanical road building equipment was disturbed. One of the footprints was cast by workman Jerry Crew.
