Melissa Hovey is a researcher from Dallas, Texas. She is Former President of the American Bigfoot Society (ABS) and a member of the TBRC. Melissa runs her own blog and forum entitled The Search for Bigfoot. In 2007, Melissa began hosting an Internet radio show, "Let's Talk Bigfoot," on Talkshoe with her co-host, Teresa Hall, but resigned from participation in that show on March 1, 2008. Melissa joined Sean Forker and "The Sasquatch Experience" in February 2008. In June of 2008 Melissa began co-hosting a new program on Talkshoe, with her friend and fellow TBRC Board Member and Field Researcher Monica Rawlins, called “The Grey Area

Melissa was also featured on the all female expedition episode of MonsterQuest.

Since 2006 Melissa has endeavored to explain the question of how and why artifacts sometimes occur in the casting of alleged bigfoot impressions, as described in a series of articles explaining the materials used and her casting procedures.
